dance Corps

1. Tanzgarde

Tanzgarden have a much younger origin than the actual Carnival Guards. They emerged only in the late 1940s. Today's Guards Dance and Gardetanzsport is due to the Revue Theater of the 1920s and 1930s. Carnival clubs took up this idea in the postwar period. In the beginning, there were only girls' groups, meanwhile there are mixed guards, in which men, solo couples and the so-called dance or solo voices participate.

The dance guard of honor guard Heimerzheim has a tradition that has lasted for decades. In addition to the actual dance guard, outstanding solo dance couples have repeatedly been produced since the late 1980s, enriching the Heimerzheim Carnival. Unfortunately, Heimerzheim, the honorary guard, does not have a large dance guard at the moment. Such is planned again in the next few years, as soon as our hopeful offspring from the cadet corps is big enough. I hope it will not be long ...

2. Cadets Corps

Our Kadettenkoprs is a mixed youth dance school that trains girls and boys aged 6 to 16 years. They perform as a strong group in carnival at many events and Gardetreffen together and present the respective session dances. Since the year 2018, the honor guard has also for the first time a youth Solomariechen.

Training for the upcoming session always begins after the Easter holidays. First, the new session dances are selected. These are then rehearsed throughout the year and then presented for the first time at the session opening in November.

The cadets train every Tuesday (outside holiday periods) from 17:30 to 19:00 in the Old Monastery (1st floor) in Heimerzheim. The training leads our experienced youth warden Ulrike Kempchen.

From May 2019 there will be a new minis group from 4 years old. The minis train every Tuesday (outside holiday periods) from 17:00 to 17:30 in the Old Monastery (1st floor) in Heimerzheim. Training and performances remain in an age-appropriate framework. The focus is on the fun of moving to music.
